Is the European part of Russia more densely populated than the Asian part of Russia ?

Definitely! The most densely populated part in Russia is a relative triangle: St. Petersburg - Novorossisk - Krasnoyarsk.

Why do you think that is?

I mean why the population is not more spread over the Russian territory rather than mostly in the Western part?

And also, why the East Coast of Russia (what you call the Far East, Vladivostock, etc...) isn't more populated?

In the USA, for example, the population is roughly split half-and-half between East and West Coasts.

Mostly may be because of the negative terrains and conditions that exist in these places, People love to live where the nature also has a good understanding with the people who live in.
