Foreigners and even Russians often say that Russian language is hard to learn. In your opinion, is it really difficult?

Yes it is extremely difficult! I have been learning for a few years now and I can still only have a very basic conversation. I understand a lot when I am just listening and reading but talking is very difficult.

Very difficult as it's not in the sense of common Latin languages - and very poor --- not able to communicate properly, although I can read most of the Cyrillic script - but it still takes time

I think the best way of learning Russian is to live in Russia for a while and to take language course, for example.

I think that learning Russian is not that hard because if you have the correct material for learning how to speak and to read than it's not a big problem, for example I listend to "Pimsleur - learn Russian Language" and after the first cd out of three that i listened, I already know how to make a basic converstaions.
I sugguest to anyone who wants to learn how to speak in russian to buy/download this 3 level of speaking russian fro Pimsleur.

You better communicate with natives. It's the best way to learn any language.

i'm still learning..can't really speak yet, can't even pronounce >.<
