I taught for three winters at different Russian universities. I have a BS in Nursing - 30 years old and a pre-historic BA in Chemistry.
Here´s how you do it. Go to the university and talk to the English department head. Say this, "Good Morrow, Good madam! Methinks I couldst teacheth here. Hast thou needs of arts such as mine?"
Repeat that until you get a hit. They aren´t going to take you out back and shoot you for asking. The farther back in the woods you go the easier it is to make a score.
P.S. If the idea of wandering around Russia asking about work at universities is intimidating to you...maybe you better stay home. Lot´s of jobs in Los Angeles for English teachers. (smirk)
P.P.S. Bring extra cash unless you REALLY like living off potatoes.
