U.S., Russia Say They Want to Reduce Nuclear Arms. The USA and Russia are trying hard to ease the relation between them. The head of the nations of the two countries met on London and they are planning to put the arms reduction treaty into action which would expire in December. Whats your opinion of the Issue?

The meeting had come out with a good ending that US and Russia would negotiate for a new nuclear arms reduction treaty by this year end.

Lets hope that the treaty would reduce the arms race and bring in peace and stability between the two countries.

My greatest hope is that Pres. Obama and Pres. Medvedev really have a meeting of the minds, and break
the traditional bad blood between the two Nations! The treaty is not expired till Dec. 2009, this gives ample
opportunity for many more meetings, and some compromising, perhaps? However, on Missile Defense
Shield, I fear that U.S. will stay stubborn on this issue, due to Iranian nuclear threat!
