Hi, dear foreigners, who study russian language. First of all, it is a great pleasure for me to see the people, who are interested in russian language, culture, in the country itself. I'm very grateful to you for your interest, curiosity.
I'm russian and I know russian web-resourses well, I know where I can find videos, music, books. I searched through the forums and found out that there is some description of the biggest russian web-site ВКонтакте, but I will make another one, that will come in handy. I'd like to tell you about it's oportunities for learning russian. It will be the most helpful resourse for you to improove your language/speech understanding skills, I think.
The best thing in this web site is free videos and films, that can be viewed online (like on YouTube) But the only difference is that the movies is in russian and they are all full! So you can, for example, write "Москва слезам не верит" or "Титаник" or "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" in the search window and you will immediately find a full lenght film in russian language. All russian and all the most popular hollywood films (professionaly translated in russian of course :) ) are there!
Also there are MP3s that can be searched the same way, discussions in groups. You can discuss the films/music etc.. And of course you can get new friends there as this site is russian social net, the largest one. It is popular in Russia like MySpace is popular in America, but Вконтакте doesn't have any bugs and has much more oportunities (whole films, music, applications, games)
But one disadvantage: you have to register there before using the service. But anyway the registration is about one minute and it is completely free))
